Warm Marble Bathroom Remodel in East Sacramento

Contemporary bathroom with warm amber marble accent wall, wood cabinetry, pendant lights, and vessel sink in East Sacramento home

About This Project

This East Sacramento bathroom remodel used a warm amber marble-look porcelain as the primary accent wall behind the vanity. The large-format slab tile — 48x24 — required precise back-buttering and leveling clips to keep lippage within acceptable limits on the vertical surface.

The vanity area is not a wet zone, so the waterproofing membrane was applied only in the shower area on the opposite wall. We tiled both surfaces in the same session, coordinating the grout color to read consistently across both tile types.

Pendant light fixtures were installed through the tile by the electrician after tile completion. We left the penetration points open and returned to seal around the fixture bases after installation.
