Kitchen Backsplash

The detail that ties the kitchen together. Done once, done well.

More Than It Looks

A kitchen backsplash is a short job on paper. In practice, it involves navigating outlet boxes, under-cabinet lighting, hood surrounds, and the transition between countertop and cabinet. Those details separate a clean installation from a sloppy one.

We cut outlets flush, not oversized. We miter outside corners rather than using plastic trim pieces where the design calls for it. We plan the layout so the tile is centered on the focal point of the wall, not the edge of the counter.

Common Backsplash Tile Types We Install

Subway Tile

Classic 3x6 and larger format subway tiles. Straight set or offset (brick pattern). White, colored, or handmade-look.

Mosaic Sheets

Glass, stone, or ceramic mosaics on mesh backing. Require a flat, well-prepared substrate for the grout lines to read evenly.

Large-Format Slab

Porcelain slabs 24x48 and larger. Fewer grout lines, high visual impact. Require precise leveling and back-buttering.

Decorative and Patterned

Zellige, encaustic cement, and hand-painted tiles. Each has specific adhesive and grouting requirements we handle correctly.
