Bathroom & Shower Tile

Wet areas done correctly. Waterproofing, layout, grout — every step matters here.

Why Bathroom Tile Is Different

A bathroom is a wet environment. Water finds every gap. A missed seam in the waterproofing layer can damage wall framing for years before it becomes visible. We treat every shower and tub surround as a waterproofing job first and a tile job second.

What's Included in Every Bathroom Tile Install

  • Substrate inspection and repair if needed
  • Waterproofing membrane in all wet zones (showers, tub surrounds)
  • Cement board or equivalent backer where required
  • Dry layout to confirm pattern and minimize awkward cuts
  • Precision grout lines using tile spacers
  • Shower niche framing and tile if specified
  • Silicone caulk at all plane changes (floor-to-wall, corner joints)
  • Grout sealing on porous grout types

Shower Niches and Built-Ins

A recessed shower niche needs to be waterproofed on all five interior surfaces. We frame niches correctly, apply membrane, and tile the interior so water cannot reach the framing behind it. This is one of the most commonly skipped steps in bathroom tile work.

We also handle linear drains, barrier-free shower entries, and bench seating. Each requires a different approach to slope and waterproofing.
