Gray Shower & Double Vanity in Midtown Sacramento

Contemporary bathroom with double vessel sinks, glass shower enclosure, and gray wall tile in Midtown Sacramento condo

About This Project

This Midtown Sacramento condo bathroom was fully retiled. The shower received gray large-format porcelain on all three walls and the floor, with a linear drain set into the floor tile at the entry threshold.

The vanity wall behind the double vessel sinks was tiled in the same gray porcelain, creating a continuous look across the full bathroom. The substrate in this condo is concrete slab, which simplified the subfloor preparation but required careful attention to waterproofing at the shower base.

We applied a liquid waterproofing membrane to the shower pan and 6 inches up the walls before setting any tile. The linear drain required sloping the floor from three sides to a single drain point, which was established during the mortar bed stage.
