Marble Double Vanity Bathroom in Alhambra Triangle
About This Project
This primary bathroom in an Alhambra Triangle home received full wall tile behind a double-sink vanity. The tile is large-format white Calacatta porcelain with gray veining, installed in a grid pattern with tight 1/16-inch grout joints.
The veining in Calacatta porcelain varies between sheets. We laid out all tiles dry and matched the vein direction before setting any tile, so the finished wall reads as a continuous surface rather than a patchwork.
Gold fixtures and oval mirrors were installed by the homeowner after tile completion. The tile choice and the hardware selection were planned together from the start, which is why the proportions work.
